Some Background Info.
I am a scribe in the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism).
I may not be a very good scribe yet, and I may never be anything worth
mentioning, but I really do love everything involved in making a scroll.
This year I happened to go to a class at Lilies War. During
the course of this class I mentioned that it might be nice to have a place
where scribes could share their work so that others could learn from them.
Personally, I have always wondered what other scribes were up to and whether or
not they would simply laugh if I showed off my own work. It was generally
agreed that an unofficial place to show off would be nice, so I created this
blog.
Why Is This Here?
This is a place where you can show off the shiny things you
have made or received. You are welcome to submit any work you’ve done that’s
SCA related, whether it was made for your Kingdom, Barony, or just for a
friend. Recipients can also send in submissions but remember to ask the scribe first and see if they have anything special they would like to share! Below I have listed information that you may want to provide so others
can more thoroughly enjoy your work. Please know that this information is not
required, I just like forms so I wanted you guys to have one in case you’re
like me. :)
Submit as many pictures/articles as you like via email and I will post
them here for you (giving you credit of course).
You are not limited to just scroll
pictures, if you did something cool like make your own pen, ink, or pigments,
let people know! Basically,
I am just creating and curating this space for you
guys. If you have any comments or questions I would love to hear them. You can
comment below or
send me an email. I’d be happy to listen to any feedback you
might have.
